Gordon Macdiarmid

Our stable of trainers includes Training Scotland director Gordon Macdiarmid. Gordon has a top-class work history including Chairman of the Glasgow Licensing Board, Treasurer of the City of Glasgow, he worked as a Secondary School teacher for over 20 years and served as a Councillor for Glasgow City Council for 22 years. His work in the licensing field led the Evening Times newspaper to include him in the ‘100 Most Powerful People in Glasgow’ list. He is a frequent contributor to publications and conferences on the topic of licensing. He is truly an expert in this field.

Eddie Tobin

Eddie Tobin is managing director of Training Scotland. As the spokesman for the late night industry, his experience in the licensed trade in Scotland is legendary. During his time at Stakis plc, he was responsible for creating and delivering training for pubs and clubs and during his tenure at Scottish and Newcastle Breweries and Carnegies Leisure Group, Eddie continued creating and delivering management training courses.
